About the Teacher/Welcome Msg

I went to school at Olive Branch until high school. I actually graduated from Lewisburg High. I started my college career at Mississippi College in Clinton, MS. I stayed there for two and a half years until I moved home and finished up college at Blue Mountain College. I graduated in 2015 with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education (K-6).

While in high school I was a daycare teacher at First Baptist Church here in Olive Branch. I did that for a few years and I also taught swimming lessons for a couple years during the summer.

When I was in college I was a waitress and manger at Outback Steakhouse in Southaven.

This year will make my sixth year teaching. Before this I taught 6th grade math at East Tate Elementary in Tate County. I loved it at East Tate but I always knew I wanted to teach in my hometown one day!

I am married to my best friend, Justin Moore. He works in Memphis at a chemical company. We have three amazing children: My stepson Caden is in 6th grade this year at LMS! My son Carson is 5 years old and is starting kindergarten at LPS! My daughter Lexi is 3 and started Pre-K at OBE this year!

My all time favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. We are all big MSU fans! I am a coke-aholic... I drink way more than I should! I love anything to do outside and enjoy taking care of our flock of chickens.

Online Work Assignments

These are different websites that I highly recommend and your child should be familiar with most of them! These are EXTRA websites and are for you to use with your child if you would like to give them more to practice!

-Clever is the website you and your child can go to and find the apps to link to a lot of other websites we are using this year! The username and password are simply your child’s MSIS number!

-I-Ready is the website we will be using this year to assign extra, leveled work for your child to work on! It will also be where we take our math and reading diagnostic tests to help determine your child’s levels. (You can get to I-ready if your child logs into

-This link is to a math and Language Arts website where your child can practice skills we have learned/are learning. Be sure you click on Third Grade! They also work for all other grades included for free.

-This link is to Khan Academy. They have lots of resources and videos that you can search to help you help your child at home. You can literally search for anything and it will have some videos and practice problems that will help you and your child succeed!

Dear Parents,

This is a difficult time for all of us but we as teachers will try to keep you as informed as we possibly can!

Do not hesitate to send me an email by using the link above.

Please try to work with your child at home the best you can! If anything please have them get on one of the educational websites that I have listed for them. They are all free or I have already set up an account for your child.

The best thing you can possibly work on with your child from 3rd grade math is their multiplication and division facts! You can find all kinds of games online to have them practice these and you can even make up games at home!

Thank you for all you do!
