Virtual Snow Days

Hey parents!

Tomorrow, 2/17/2021, is a virtual snow day. This means that due to the inclement weather, students will stay home and work from their devices. Since I teach the virtual students, I need y'all to know that the set up for this week will look a little different. I have your virtual snow day work listed in your Homeroom folder.

If you get lost for any reason, you can click the big blue boxwith the snowflakes and it will take you directly to the folder you will need to work in.

Students should complete all work included in this folder to be counted present for Wednesday, 2/17/2021.

If we continue to be out of school due to the weather, the next folder can be found the same way.

Please let me know if you need help with anything! Thank you!

About the Teacher

I graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education. I have endorsements in English (7-12), Social Studies (7-8). I also obtained my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Ole Miss and am K-12 certified.

2020-2021 will be my 4th year in the DeSoto County School District. I have taught 8th grade English, 8th grade History, and 3rd Grade English Language Arts.

My name is Jessica Mitchell. I am from North Mississippi. I enjoy spending time with my kids, traveling, and cooking new foods.

As an educator, I want to see my students succeed even when faced with difficult challenges. 3rd grade can be hard for many students as they are faced with the pressures of the end of the year state test. My goal is to help my students grow confident in their academic abilities and know that I am here to help in any way possible.
